The Idiot's Declaration, draft 3

I've been thinking about what we are. Not as a site. As a movement. Here's what I've got so far: We are idiots. Proudly and on purpose. We are idiots because we believe in things that can't be measured. We believe a photograph taken by a human eye has value beyond its sharpness. We believe a body seen by another human body is different from a body scanned by a sensor. We believe choices that no computer system would suggest are the most important choices a person can make. Machines make things more efficient. We choose. Machines process. We believe. Machines run numbers. We run on stubbornness. If that makes us idiots, then stupidity is humanity's last safe place. And we will defend it with every unreasonable, messy, beautifully human bone in our bodies.
